What Honest Mirror is

Honest Mirror is an educational self-reflection tool. It analyzes the answers you yourself provide and generates a personalized Truth Report. It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

What we collect

When you take the assessment we collect: an age group (never your date of birth), your answers to the assessment statements, a brief safety check-in response, the time you completed the assessment, and a random pseudonymous session ID generated in your browser.

We do not ask for — and our system actively rejects — your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page, under Stripe's privacy policy. Your card details go to Stripe — not to us. Beyond the delivery email described below, we receive only pseudonymous payment-confirmation identifiers. We never receive or store your card number.

Report delivery

To deliver your Truth Report, we receive from Stripe the email address you confirm at checkout and use it solely to send you your private report link — one transactional email per purchase. We send no marketing or newsletters. We store only a redacted form of that address (for example a***@example.com), never the full address.

Where your data is stored

Your answers and the Truth Report generated from them are stored as pseudonymous records on our own server infrastructure.

Your report link

Your Truth Report is available at a private link. Anyone who has that exact link can view the report, so keep it private.

In your browser

We use browser localStorage to save your assessment progress on your own device. Your in-progress draft is removed from your browser when you submit or choose "Start over". Some report-progress entries remain until you clear your browser data. If you arrived through one of our own posts or links, we also store a short tag naming that post — and, when present in the link, the campaign/ad details behind it — used only to understand which of our content brings visitors. This stays in your browser's local storage only; it is never a cookie and is never sent to any other company by your browser. We do not use cookies.

No tracking

We use no analytics providers, advertising, or tracking scripts in your browser. Your browsing on our pages is not tracked, and our pages ask search engines not to index them. Separately, when you complete a purchase, our server may send Meta a confirmation that a purchase happened. That confirmation always includes the purchase amount and currency. When available, it also includes a one-way cryptographic hash of the email address you already gave Stripe to complete your purchase — never the plaintext address — and, only if you arrived through one of our own Meta ads, that ad's click identifier. We never send your name, phone number, physical address, assessment answers, Honest Score, or report content to Meta. This is a server-to-server message, not something your browser sends, and it never happens unless you actually buy.

Sharing

Data leaves our systems only as described above for Stripe, plus, when enabled, a purchase-confirmation message to Meta — amount, currency, a hashed (never plaintext) version of your checkout email when available, and, only for ad-attributed visits, that ad's click identifier; never your name, phone, address, assessment answers, Honest Score, or report content — sent from our server, never your browser, so we can measure whether our own advertising is working, plus the network infrastructure required to serve the site.

Retention and deletion

A final data-retention policy is still being finalized. Today, stored records are not automatically deleted. To request deletion of your data, contact support@honestmirror.ai — deletion requests are processed manually.

Age

Honest Mirror is available only to adults 18 or older.
